个人感觉好像 jjackson 前一段时间情绪不太稳定。
最初说是没有时间继续开发coyote linux，之后又说不再继续coyote linux的开发了。
claodio则是接着继续开发，不过这和官方没有关系。可以说是非官方的版本。
而官方除了 coyote linux 没有免费版本软件，或者类似的限制功能的版本，这对vertech的公司业务会造成很大影响。我想现在 jackson 只所以推出 3.0 系列的 coyote linux，无非就是为了提高 Wolverine 的销售。
对于一个商业公司，这很正常。
我想两个版本都可以用的。官方的只是不再支持ppp拨号而已。

This release is the first release of the new Coyote Linux 3.00 firewall product.

This product has been split from the Wolverine Firewall and VPN code base but is licensed for Personal and Educational use ONLY.

CLPF does not include support for VPN (PPTP/IPSEC) or 802.1q VLans. If you need support for these options, you can purchase a personal use license for Wolverine.

The download for CLPF is a bootable cdrom ISO image that needs to be burned to CD before installation.

Coyote Linux 3.00 ONLY support PCI network interface cards. ISA support will not be added.   3.0cl  不再支持  isa的网卡
Coyote Linux 2.xx addons will not function for Coyote Linux 3.x. Addon support is forthcoming, but does not exist yet.
2.xx的 扩展功能组件将不能使用在3.0但将来会有相同的支持3.0组件  （18：08了 回家吃饭  明天在反）
