What's new since 2.06?

17.1.2004 - qos-2.06v2 release

* more QOS settings can now be configured directly through web-interface
* minor design changes in qos.cgi
* priority classes bandwidth variable names now follow the same syntax as others
* you can now setup how much bandwidth use for junk classes
* CLEAR_DOWNSTREAM and CLEAR_UPSTREAM values now used for building class
  hierarchy (they have substracted junk classes bandwidth and limiting
  should be more accurate)

BUG: fixed a bug, where computer bandwidth share in manual setup was
     computed from default upstream/downstream values
BUG: fixed a bug, where direct fwinet value was computed from default
     upstream instead of real one
* UP_FW_STREAM value is now substracted from total upstream bandwidth available
  for QOS classes in default config

Now there are two options how to build QOS-integrated coyote linux disk.

A) Using Linux version of Coyote Disk creator

This is prefered way, package contains updated disk creator coyote linux 2.06. Disk creator supports two coyote version standard+qos and standard+qos+ide. This is updated official linux coyote disk creator and installation is the same as official one (you will need functional linux system to run this package, here are some information how to make floppy using Knoppix distribution).

Using patched version of Windows disk creator wizzard

For those, who are not very familiar with Linux disk creator now exists another option. I've tryied integrating new coyote linux version v2.06 with windows disk creator wizzard 2.2.3 (originaly for coyote linux version 2.02) until Joshua releases new version of windows wizzard.

I have made some basic testing and it seems to work quite good. But you cannot ofcourse setup functions introduced in 2.06 linux disk creator with this wizzard (namely it's DMZ setup and maybe some other things). One additional step after floppy creation is also required.

windows wizard instalation steps

Download official Windows 2.2.3 disk creator wizzard and unpack it somewhere.
Download your desired wizzard update and unpack it to the same directory (some files will be overwritten)
Build your Coyote Linux floppy using windows wizzard (you cannot setup new features like DMZ support from this windows wizzard)
Run post-install.bat file from root instalation directory (or manualy copy coyote.cfg from root folder on floppy disk to /config/coyote.cfg)
Your created floppy should be ready to use now.

不过这个版本因为多了流量控制的功能，内存占用要比2.05的多几百K，2.05一般情况下只用5.7M内存，这个版本要用6.5M左右
