Mikrotik-Linux is a special version of Mikrotik that contains extra packages for popular linux applications.
Packages
basic - Busybox, a base system + various scripts
bind - DNS Server + Configuration examples
dropbear - SSH Server & Linux shell
linux-routing - Quagga Routing Suite + OLSR and Batman routing protocols
network-tools - Various network utilities like whois, tracepath, WoL facility, IP Sentinel
squid (only for 2.9.x)- Squid Proxy
hardware watchdog (under testing) - Linux WatchDog
utilities - Putty, Angry Ip Scanner and Dude inside http://router-ip/utilities.html
Changelog
All configuration files have been moved to /var/app/etc
Backup/Restore facility has been added
Now for every command in Mikrotik CLI there is a mirror in bash. Try linux/ in home directory

linux packages may be extracted from uploaded iso and be installed via ftp as usual
default dropbear password is 1234
dropbear accepts connections on tcp port 2222
any installed package, may be uninstalled as usual
these all extra packages DO NOT affect any mikrotik files
